The shelf life depends on the water content of the product. According to a biological survey conducted by us, a 36 month aged ham can endure a vacuum packing of up to 90 days.
These bags can be very helpful when talking about products very rich in flavours, for example black pigs products, or fish.
The vacuum sealing allows it to maintain its flavour for months, as above said.
There are black or green bags with a round window in the front, that can be opened and closed again by your customer at home, just by using an adhesive band present on the back of it. If the quantity in it is too much for a single use, it becomes very practical to open it and reseal it many times.
